NANA APPIAH MENSAH CHARGED AND REMANDED AS COURT REFUSE TO GRANT BAIL

Nana Appiah Mensah has been charged and remanded in police custody set to reappear before the Accra Circuit court on July 26, 2019.

The Menzgold Chief Executive Officer was arraigned before court today and slapped with two counts of abetment to defraud by false pretense and two count of abetment to carry out banking business without license, contrary to Section 6 (1) of the Banks and Specialized Deposit-taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930) together with his Brew Marketing Consult.

Nana Appiah was handed over by Dubai Interpol to Ghana Police yesterday at the Kotoka International Airport at 11:35 am after been incarcerated in Dubai following a gold business deal between him and Horizon Royal Diamonds. A Dubai High Court after sitting on the case has ordered Horizon Royal Diamonds to pay $39 million plus compensation for wrongfully imprisoning NAM1.

Menzgold customers are anxiously waiting for the verdict of court proceeds to finally get settled on monies invested in Nana Appiah Mensah’s Menzgold.

The Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission shut down Menzgold’s operations in September 2018 after the Minerals Commission of Ghana revoked its operating license for the reason that, the Commission primarily issued the license for gold trading and export.

His wife, Rose Tetteh and Sister; Benedicta Appiah have also been involved with two counts of abetment to defraud by false pretense and two counts of abetment to carry out banking business without license, contrary to Section 6 (1) of Act 930. Their whereabouts is unknown yet.
