Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa; the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora led a delegation last week to both the Ghana High Commission in Nigeria and the Togolese Ambassador to plead the case of Nigerians who found themselves under assault in both countries.

Nigerians have come under heavy criticism in Ghana following the recent kidnapping cases and ‘cyber frauds The Ghana Immigration Service recently deported 17 Nigerians involved in Criminal activities as well as the forcible closure of Nigerian Shops at Suame-Magazine who alleged that the Nigerians are flouting the Laws governing the retail marketing in the country.

Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa was assured by the Ghana High Commissioner that Nigerian traders are in safe hands and the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has directed security agencies to guarantee their safety as they resume business in Kumasi.
