OTUMFUO DEPOSE OFFINSO-HENE FROM OFFICE

The Asantehene's promise to bring sanity among the inhabitants of the Ashanti Kingdom is concrete and indeed, he is living by his word.

After destooling the Asafohene, Akyanfour Kwame Kowuah III; head of the Akwamu Division of the Kumasi Traditional Council, the ‘King Solomon’ has destooled the Chef of Offinso-Ahenkro, Nana Ahenkro Osei, for a willful inappropriate action.

Nana Ahenkro Osei who enjoyed a 20-years reign was deposed from office for avoiding the Manhyia Palace; an act of ‘disrespect’ to his royal majesty, and taking land quarrel matters to court.  

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as part of his reign has withdrawn and settled all chieftaincy cases at the law court and delivered caution to all his subjects to desist from opening land cases at the law court.

The destoolment was effected on Monday, June 24, 2019
