Spain and Italy maintains 100 percent Record in EURO 2020 Qualifiers

Spain secured a narrow win against Romania yesterday in the EURO 2020 qualifiers at the Arena Nationala.

Sergio Ramos scored a 29-minute penalty to put the visitors in front as Paco Alcacer doubled the lead in the early stage of the second half. The hosts pulled a goal back in the 5-minute before Diego Llorente was sent off late in the second half after a late tackle to deny the Romania the equalizer.

The win means Spain have made it five wins out of five in their EURO qualifiers.

Moreno’s side are leaders of Group F with 15 points from five games. Sweden are second with 10 whiles Norway and Romania occupies third and forth with eight and seven points respectively.

Italy in Group J scored twice in the final 15 minutes to beat 10-man Armenia b 3-1. The Gli Azzuris have maintained a 100 percent record in the EURO’s after coming from behind to make t their fifth win in five games.

Andrea Belotti, Lorenzo Pellegrini and an own goal from Armenia goalkeeper Aram Hayrapetyan gave Roberto Mancini’s side victory after Alexander Karapetian gave the home side a 11-minute lead. The forward was later sent off in the 45+1 minute which was a boost for Belloti’s 28-minute response with goal.
