4 'ARRESTED' GOATS AUCTIONED BY THE GA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

Four goats have been auctioned by the Ga West Municipal for ₵ 665 cedis.

The goats were left unattended roaming in the municipal and the move according to the Municipal Chief Executive of the area is to abominate people from leaving their animals astray.

Under the by law where animals seized are not claimed within a period of four days, the assembly shall cause a notice of the impoundment to be displayed at a conspicuous place in the area for six days according to Mr. Wilkinson.

At the expiry of the period specified, if the animal remains unclaimed, it shall be sold at a public auction by a licensed auctioneer or other person appointed by the Assembly for that purpose.

The goats namely, Emmanuel, Joseph are sold for ₵ 350, ₵ 195, whiles John and Andrew are marketed for ₵ 60 cedis respectively.
