'I DON’T THINK ITS WRONG TO HAVE SEX DURING YOUR PERIOD, YOU JUST HAVE TO TAKE IN CERTAIN PRECAUTIONS'-JANET MBUGUA

Janet Mbugua Ndichu is a Kenyan media personality, anchor and actress took a new role at Kenya Red Cross Humanitarian Society.

As an actress she played the lead in television series 'Rush'.

Recently, Janet  asked her fans to question her about periods since it was period talk, and it was surprising she got fascinating subjects coming her way.

The first question she got was , “Is it safe to have sex during your period!”.

The Kenyan anchor answered saying, she doesn’t see anything wrong in having sex whilst you are in your period. According to her, one only need to take safety measures like, having a partner wear a sap condom that will protect her from getting pregnant and STIs.

 “I don’t think there’s anything wrong, I just think you have to take certain precautions, you have to have a towel, you have to make sure that you’ve covered the sheets I guess. Some people find it very messy but I don’t there is anything wrong per say in terms of is it a health risk etc. Just take precautions is what I would say and here is another thing I would say, have your partner wear a latex condom if possible. It will protect against pregnancy and STIs,”

 “Is pain during periods normal” a fan asked.

 Mbugua responded that its normal for one to feel pains during their period for the reason although some people may take contrceptives, yet that sometimes is not an antidote to resisting the pains.

“I had a lot of pain during my periods, I still do and if I don’t take contraceptives like the pills, I still have a lot of pain. Ended up that I have ovarian cysts growing so I had a laparoscopy that was many years ago. Because my pain was so bad I felt like there was something wrong and I was right about that,” she said.
