MEDICAL UNIVERSITY AND 42 SHS TO BE FINANCED BY SAUDI KING - VICE PRESIDENT ANNOUNCE

Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of Saudi has promised to build a Medical University in the Northern part of Ghana and construct 42 Senior High Schools in addition.

The Vice President made the announcement yesterday at the National celebration of Eid-ul-Adha at the Black Star Square in Accra. He therefore urged Muslims especially the girls to take the study of their science-based courses seriously in order to benefit from the programme, which will also see 40 students, comprising males and females from Zongo deprived communities to be trained as medical doctors in Cuba in an arrangement between both governments.

The Muslim community which has been wrongly defined by many as a center of prohibited acts have measures put in place to control such violence. According to the Vice president, suspicious characters in the various communities needs to be reported to security agencies in order not to disturb the peace and serenity of the country.

He reminded the gathering that the President Akufo-Addo’s administration is committed to developing the Zongo Communities hence the creation of the Ministry of Inner Circle and Zongo Development and Development Fund to ensure that they benefit massively from National Development.

The National Chief Imam Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Shaributu was praised for his exemplary life in directing members of Islam through religious forbearance across the world.

A prayer was said by the National Chief Imam for the President of Ghana and his vice. A camel donated by the Vive President was slaughtered to symbolically mark the Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
