THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST - PEMEM WEEK PROGRESS IN THE NEW TAFO AREA

The Church of Pentecost; New Tafo Area is commemorating its Men’s Ministry week in the various Districts.

The Pentecost Men’s’ Ministry is established to cater for the interest of all the men in the Church to help them become effective and significant for Christ in partnership with the church.

Among the 17 Districts in the Area is Mamponteng. With a total number of 14 assemblies, the Church of Pentecost in the Mamponteng Zone begun the Men’s Ministry Week on Monday dividing the locals into three zones. Bethel, Paradise and the Central Zone.

The District pastor; Rev. Jerry Kusi Acquah opening the program at the Central Zone explained scriptures on the theme, ‘Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?’ taken from John 4:29

Pastor Jerry expounded the verse advising the men in the room to be an example to their family just as Jesus became an illustration for the woman of Samaria. “when the woman called on the neighbors to come and see the man at the well, she experienced something special in Jesus. The fruit of the Spirit was at work therefore Jesus was distinct from the men she has met. I am therefore encouraging you to be such. Be an icon for your family to look up in times of trouble and distress for you are the image of God.” he said.

He further preached marking evangelism as a man’s tool to reveal beneficial hidden truth in him. the verse which spoke solely about preaching the good news to save the lost was outlined as Jesus greatest mandate hence the use of word, ‘My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work (John 4:34). He requested men in the room to be evangelism-conscious making it their sole responsibility for Jesus personally mandated the men for that course. “The chapter 4 explaining our theme is all about Evangelism, the need and its significance. Any Christian who prefers to walk alone without professing the truth for a brother or sister to be saved is a selfish Christian and God does not condone such acts” he added.

Elder Ben Yamoah; leader of the PEMEM in the Mamponteng District taught the congregation songs surrounding the Ministry. Prayers were said to bring the service to a close. The event is a long week program under the guidance of Apostle Samuel Antwi of the Church of Pentecost, supervised by Pastor Jerry Kusi Acquah; District Pastor and managed by the PEMEM leader of the Mamponteng District; Elder Ben Yamoah.

The patronage of the ladies have been effective so far.
